Development of a simplified format for the consignment note
At its meeting on 15 & 16 June 2010, the CIT’s CIM Working Group decided to examine the desirability of a simplified format for the consignment note. The proposed format would be limited to the functions and data required by the CIM Uniform Rules. In this way it would be possible to reduce the administrative work and the costs of implementing the electronic consignment note.
Amendments CIM
The amendments to the documents for International Freight Traffic dated 1st July 2010 (GLV-CIM, GLV-CIM/SMGS, GLV-TC, GLW-CUV, GTM-CIT, AIM, ABD-CIT, Checklist Customer Agreement and the functional and legal specifications for the Electronic CIM/SMGS Consignment Note) are now available on the CIT website under "Freight Traffic".
