List of codes for undertakings

Railway undertakings and other rail-sector organisations are identified using two coding systems:

• Within the European Union (EU), four-character alphanumeric Organisation Codes (OC) are allocated by the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA). This also applies to non-EU organisations operating within the EU.

• Outside the EU, four-digit numeric Company Codes (UIC RICS) continue to be issued by UIC and OSJD in accordance with UIC/OSJD Leaflet 920-1.
